Overview
Matthew has more than 20 years of legal experience in both transactional law and litigation. He has practiced commercial litigation in state and federal courts around the country, and regularly counsels clients in a range of practice areas, including trademark, IP licensing, and privacy law.
Matthew received his law degree from UC Hastings College of the Law, where he was the Editor in Chief of the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal (COMM/ENT). While at COMM/ENT, Matthew edited and published a book entitled “Forgive Us Our Press Passes: Selected Works by Daniel Schorr,” a collection of essays by the legendary American journalist.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Matthew began his legal career practicing litigation at Heller Ehrman LLP and later served as in-house counsel at several small startup companies and creative endeavors around the San Francisco Bay Area.
A passionate advocate for the arts, Matthew currently serves on the Civic Arts Commission for the city of Berkeley, California.
